Tampa Mortgage SEO Case Study: Search and AI Results
This Tampa mortgage SEO case study shows how an existing broker website gained search visibility after I took over on August 31, 2026. The reports show more Google clicks, more impressions, and a better average position. The broker’s name and website address are kept private.
Discuss My Mortgage Website- An existing mortgage website, with a clear work-start date and a measured search baseline.
- Search results and Google AI visibility are shown separately. Neither report is a count of leads or closed loans.
An existing website, not a new launch
I began work on this mortgage website on August 31, 2026. To show the starting point, I compared the 28 days before that date with a later, complete 28-day period. Both use Google Web search data from the same website.
My goal is to help people who are looking for mortgage answers find useful pages and a clear way to ask for loan help. These reports measure the search part of that goal. They do not tell us which individual change caused the growth.
Google Web search results
More search visibility and website visits
The site earned 143 Google clicks in the later 28-day period, compared with 127 before I took over.
| Measure | Earlier 28 daysAugust 3–30, 2026 | Later 28 daysSeptember 18–October 15, 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google clicks | 127 | 143 | Up 13% |
| Search impressions | 22,183 | 36,492 | Up 65% |
| Average search position | 32.6 | 14.6 | Lower is better |
An impression means a link appeared in search results. A click means someone followed a search result to the website. Average position improved from 32.6 to 14.6 across the report; this does not mean every page or keyword ranks in the same place.

- DSCR calculator: 0 → 9 clicks
The calculator pages also drew more search clicks in a separate comparison: August 21–September 17 versus September 18–October 15. The first window overlaps the start of my work. These page results show interest in useful tools, not how many people requested a loan.

Google generative AI results
More visibility in Google’s AI search features
The supplied Generative AI report shows 6.86K impressions in its “Last 3 months” window, compared with 1.53K in “Previous 3 months.” That is about 4.5 times as many impressions, using the rounded numbers shown.
An AI impression means a link to the site appeared in a Google AI search feature. It is not a website visit or a new lead. The report covers features such as AI Overviews and AI Mode, not ChatGPT. Google includes this visibility in the overall search report, so the two impression totals should not be added together.
What this means for your website
For a loan officer, the useful lesson is that program pages and tools can give people a reason to visit. Pair those answers with a clear request for personal help. More search exposure creates more chances to be considered, but it does not prove more leads or funded loans.
These results describe one client. They are not a forecast for another business. See the work available through mortgage broker SEO services or AI search visibility services.
